Vivid Sydney 2025 Local Business Program

Vivid Sydney is back from Friday 23 May to Saturday 14 June 2025, transforming the city into a vibrant hub of creativity, innovation and technology. Over 23 nights, light installations, 3D projections, music, ideas and food invite you to dream without limits. Inspired by the creative direction “Dream”, the festival opens up a world of imagination, wonder, and shared inspiration.

Apply for the Local Business Program

We invite local businesses to apply for our Local Business Program, where you can showcase your business during Vivid Sydney by highlighting your signature products, services, and customer experiences. Demonstrate how your business contributes to the local community and supports Sydney’s night-time economy by naturally attracting foot traffic and creating memorable moments for visitors. We encourage you to promote local NSW produce or products, supporting our state's growers and makers. There’s no need for a Vivid Sydney -specific activation—simply share what you already do best while engaging with locals and visitors during the festival.

We will promote your business to our engaged audience, and selected businesses will receive access to free Vivid Sydney Local Business Program assets, including a digital toolkit, round LED screen and window decals, professionally installed to attract customers and highlight your participation.

Businesses can apply to participate in the Vivid Sydney Local Business Program under one of three tiers.

Tier 1

This is for businesses that want to showcase their products, services, and customer experiences. No Vivid Sydney-inspired offer is required—businesses simply need to demonstrate how they contribute to the local community and support Sydney’s night-time economy. To be eligible, businesses must operate during Vivid Sydney from 23 May to 14 June, between 6pm and 11pm each night. They must also be located within the festival boundary and hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN).

Tier 2

This is for cruise operators interested in illuminating their vessels as part of Vivid Sydney’s harbour display. Businesses must be willing to cover the cost of their own lighting installation and provide a secure location onboard with reliable 4G reception, where a small modem can be installed and powered. Eligible businesses must be registered with a valid ABN.

Tier 3

This is designed for businesses with prominent buildings that wish to light up their façades as part of Vivid Sydney’s “Our Connected City” program. This initiative celebrates creativity and connection, with participating buildings synchronised to Vivid Sydney’s broader lighting displays. Businesses must cover their own lighting costs but will receive a free lighting controller provided by Destination NSW to ensure seamless integration with the festival.

How to apply

To apply, businesses must complete the official application form on the Vivid Sydney website before the deadline: 5.00pm (AEST) on Friday 11 April 2025. Selection for all tiers is based on strict criteria outlined in the Terms and Conditions, and participation in the Local Business Program does not imply inclusion in the wider Vivid Sydney program.
