For over 30 years, this family-owned pub has been run by hospitality great Maureen Thornett and daughter Sophie, becoming the go-to spot for locals and foodies alike. Spread across two levels, The Royal Oak isn't just about great food and drinks. With cocktail style for up to 140 guests and seated functions for up to 50 guests, the Royal Oak Balmain can cater to everything from an intimate lunch to a big milestone celebration. Our upstairs area includes a private bar with view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, an outdoor balcony and a fireplace for chilly winter nights.

The Royal Oak is open for lunch, dinner and drinks seven days, 11am until late. We’re also open for breakfast on the weekend from 8am until 11.30am.
